INTRODUCTION
According to psychoanalysis, ‘only a compound fool would fight a blind war and expect victory. Tragically, an ethnic crisis is a major nonsensical belief system upheld with high esteem by many failed human institutions across the world, especially among underdeveloped societies. So sad to observe, our beloved nation (Nigeria) back here is a culprit of this horrible manmade holocaust. The belief in ethnic carnage and the sentiment is a barbaric cultural value that must be hewn down. In alignment with the search for the origin of the problem by our team, we punctuated the fact that the problem originates from the wrong application of natural or divine laws. Based on this breakdown, problems thus occur either as a disaster or manmade. Psychology analyzes the problem through ‘cause and effect’. The law of cause and effect asserts that it takes a seeing eye to search out the cause of a problem and to proffer a rational lasting solution. To extinguish the inferno, firefighting experts attack the source of the fire. The ancient principle of cause and effect asserts that “all eyes look but few see”. ‘The eyes that see are not common’. That is to say, a person or society that is mentally blind would magnify the problem. As a matter of fact, mental blindness is a fundamental issue in all underdeveloped societies. The inability to develop your natural and scientific eyes to see is the feeding ground of ethnic crisis. Ethnic crises originate from the deliberate distortion of facts from a people’s history against other ethnic or ethnicities.
THE PANGS OF ETHNIC CRISIS
We discovered from a study that, mediocrity is one of the major factors responsible for the promotion of ethnic crisis and the reason why places with ethnic carnage often find it difficult or impossible the siege to eradicate ethnic crisis in the land, even when it eats them up alive continually. Note! No problem has the ability to resolve itself but great minds with positive thinking do. Ethnic crisis invades like wildfire and no one can determine the extent to which it will devour until it finally dies down. Apparently, the paradox of control and non-control discloses that wildfire consumes anything, both casualties and culprits alike. The aim of ethnic crisis is to sow seeds of discord, destroy precious human lives and waste valuable properties with no tangible reason. It causes senseless enmity, and divergent disunity and introduces casualty societies to absurd underdevelopment. It invades societies with massive uneducated minds or citizens through the inglorious spread of falsified history to incite the people. Any society with massive uneducated minds or citizens is exposed to cheap deceit and unreasonable incitement against itself. Where the citizens of a society are unable to think independently, ethnic warlords capitalize on their mental weakness to enshrine fortified history as a cultural value. Once the process is accomplished, ethnic warlords advance into dogmatizing the people with their personal ambitions as ethnic values. Note! History is not borne from fiction but from events.
THE STRENGTH OF HISTORY
After a widespread study on the strength of history, we realized that anywhere a historic discussion is held, it usually results in inflexible contests among discussants, especially in a society where the record of events is distorted. It is impossible for any society with misleading history to develop. No society develops without factual history. Of course, there can be no inspiration to strengthen the people to the top. Where there is no factual history, there is no human and societal development. A factual study revealed that there is absolutely nothing created without history. For sure, everything created has origin and history, except God because He was not created. Also, factual study reveals that God created everything that was created with no exception. By this, any person or society without history has no future or is lost to the future. A society without history is like a boat without an anchor. Through history, we understand the past and the present to determine the future. History is a basic mold that spurs humans into an adventure to change our condition of living or the environment we live in. Our team took time to look at the strength of our national history and discovered that Nigeria’s history is the compilation of distorted sectional histories. Sorry to say, our national history is a deliberate collation of sectional fiction, fairy tales, and make-believes borne out of dishonest conflicts. Pitiably, our national history is the collation of sectional make-believe, not events.
