After a thorough study of leadership, we understood that leadership is one of the most organized institutions among all creations. It is one of the most prestigious natural institutions that regulate all creatures. God created and planted leadership on the plane of principles, and wired the universe to cooperate with its rules governing leadership. It takes a sound mind, superior knowledge, and absolute compliance with the regulatory principles of leadership to run effective leadership. Leadership is a natural tool that shapes individual morals and societal values. It provides equitable ground to contribute individual quota to the development of humanity. It sets open room for everyone to discover-self and manifest creation’s purpose. It creates creative minds to convert natural gifts into skills. Leadership makes efficient room for selflessness to God and to man. The demand for selfless leadership is to make the sacrifice of laying down your life by a volition to fulfill a worthwhile course. King Martin Luther Jr. asserts that “he that cannot die for something is worth living”. Leadership is not a right but a privilege to serve. It is an opportunity to improve the condition of people and the environment they live in. Leadership helps you to use your skills to build effective relationships with man and God. To execute virtues, you must understand the regulatory laws of human relations. Above all, to run effective leadership you must ensure that your source is from divine knowledge and natural laws. The understanding of what leadership meant shows that, leadership starts from whatever you are doing. Thus, absurd leadership emanates from the inability to punctuate self-identity and originality. Leadership starts with you. It starts with doing what you want the world to do. This system of leadership is known as ‘exemplary leadership’. To process effective leadership, it starts from leading by doing what you want others to do. This interprets the natural principle of serving to lead the people.
WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization. It is the processing of social influence to maximize the efforts of others to achieve a goal. It is the capacity to influence people’s relationship to a goal. It is the act of motivating people to achieve a common objective. It is the ability to influence others’ behavior. Lots of people view leadership as being the most senior executive member in an organization. Leadership has nothing to do with seniority but the capacity to translate vision into reality. The study of leadership shows that leadership does not just occur as one reached a higher position. Let us peruse the opinion of some respected great thinkers about leadership. Bill Gates views leadership as “looking ahead to the next century; that, leadership will be those who empower others”. John Maxell views leadership as “influence nothing more and nothing less”. Peter Drucker views leadership as “someone who has followers”. Leadership is not about seniority or hierarchical position.
LEADERSHIP IS NOT ABOUT TITILS
Just like the aforementioned points above. The fact that you hold a corporate, social, or traditional title does not confer the office of a “leader” to you if the title does not accompany practical leadership qualities. In a nutshell, the emphasis here remains that title is not a criterion to lead. The most interesting is that you can become a leader in your workplace, your worship center, your neighborhood, and your family without a title. What makes leadership are such qualities as capacity, influence, character, and superior intelligence!
PERSONALITY ATTRIBUTES DO NOT MAKE A LEADER
Unfortunately, once the phrase “leader” is mentioned anywhere, especially among the unexposed, what most people think of is exercising dominion over man, not serving humanity. Another category of people thinks of icons from historic books like President Lincoln and so on. However the obvious is that the catchword ‘leadership’ is not an adjective. You do not need to be an extroverted charisma to practice leadership. Of course, even charismatic people do not lead without going through certain processes to acquire leadership qualities.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT
The difference between leadership and management is confusing to many people. For sure, they are not identical at all. Let us expound on their differences. Imagine that you have 70 staff members as employees in your company and you have a major assignment to discharge. To deliver excellence, you must not confuse or misplace their roles for the other. Management’s duty is to plan, monitor, measure, coordinate, hire and fire, etc. Managers manage things while leaders lead people.
