According to historical experts; history is not legendary, fiction, or make-believe but time existence and event or occurrence. History contained three essential elements of time concerning the existence of creation and activities that mark events or occurrences. History is beyond just marking human existence but also marking the existence of all creatures, time, and activities that define events or occurrences. Time, activity, and existence define what happened in the past, how the past affects the present, and what the present holds for the future.
THE THREE BASIC ELEMENTS OF HISTORY:
- The past
- The present
- The future
The ethnic crisis in Nigeria is a wicked programme created by some people to fraternize the country for selfish reasons or interests, just like every other country under the siege of ethnic conflict or racial discrimination. While some casualty countries have found the wisdom to resolve their ethnic woes, some countries like Nigeria continue to wallow in the sorrow of ethnic scuffle. Ethnic conflict makes people suspect each other which activities relegate a country to underdevelopment. The destruction of our national history fuels ethnic delusion and sentiment.
SEE HOW TRUE HISTORY IS WRITTEN:
By global documentation, the greatest adventure faced by humans in the 19th century was the exploration of the interior of Australia, the Americas, and Africa. Though, there was much more exploration from 1492–1800. In the 20th century, it was the exploration of polar ice caps, the conquest of the highest mountains in the world, sending ships to space, and landing people on the moon. Great adventurers explored the world, mapping and defining all continents in wide-range strokes and mapping shorelines. They were left with things that lay within the boundaries of some continents as mysteries for more exploration. Our national historic documentary like the just enumerated global historic documentary was destroyed by the boys, the post-independence politicians for selfish interest and fulfillment of personal ambitions at the peril of national development. Through this unholy activity, they successfully transferred slave powers from the white (our colonial masters) to themselves by the policy known as ‘divide and rule’. By application of this unhallowed policy, they hewed the glory of this great nation into ‘casket cage hopelessness’. They cloned the mentality of the people with ethnic division against themselves.
Attention! It is one thing to free your people from colonialism with clear conscience toward God and toward man and, another thing altogether is to relieve your people from external colonialism into personal ulterior motives, only to bring your people into worse chains than the former. Note! Freedom is not given but taken. It said, “Since the time of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffers violence and violence takes it by force”. It is important to know that, ethnic conflict is a mentality problem, and mentality problem is not resolved with levity but with mental violence. All battles against ethnic conflicts start first with freeing your mentality from hypnotism and mesmerism. Until you gain freedom from ethic hypnotism and mesmerism, you cannot overrun tribal sentiment. You cannot understand the importance of national values, assess national reality and initiate national development. To fight ethnic conflict and win, you must take the position of a nationalist. National interest is the main objective destroyed by our post-independent politicians. So far, the ethnic crisis has claimed many lives and is still claiming more. The question is who would be the next victim?
THE MOST HATED PEOPLE ON EARTH
According to world history, the three most hated people in the 20th century were Benito Mussolini of Italy, an Italian political leader who became a fascist dictator of Italy from 1925-1945. He started with the social revolutionary movement as a subtle means to gain a soft landing. As soon as he achieved this, he pretended to run a patriotic movement which of course paid-of and this led him into gaining power in the Italian government as a minister in 1922. When he assumed the seat of Italian leadership, he brought his people under tyranny government. Another person is Hirohito, a Japanese imperialist who became emperor in 1926 and brought the people under dictatorial or autocratic leadership till his death in 1989. Adolf Hitler is yet another Australian born who migrated to Germany in 1913, renounced his Australian citizenship in 1925, and became a renowned German citizen in 1932. Hitler led Germany into Nazi War. Nazi War brought a high degree of pain, sorrow, tears, and blood for the world to bear. ‘World History’ marked these three notorious men as the most hated in the 20th century.
The same thing transpired in Nigeria from 1933-1960. Nigerian history mourned and continued to mourn to date. Our post-independent politicians (the boys) puts the glory of Nigeria in this undying comatose. The funniest about this whole issue and almost impossible to imagine is that the same boys who fought for the independence of our nation are the same people who thwarted the glory of our treasured fatherland. The misinterpretation of this bottleneck is the reason why every Nigerian came to the submission that, “Nigeria was not mature for independence”. This popular submission among the Nigerian populace is not true because research from our team had proven that, the ulterior motive of the frontiers of our struggle for national independence is the chief cause of our continuous nationwide pain, sorrow, tears, and blood in underdevelopment. Unfortunately, we still celebrate them as Nigerian fallen- heroes. This can only happen in a country where the people are unaware of the fact that they are the cause of her pain, tears, sorrow, and blood in underdevelopment. It was the boys who caused the pangs of ethnic conflict in Nigeria. No man would initiate an evil course without creating make-believe to confuse and win unexposed minds to fulfill his greedy ambition. As regards ethnic conflicts, it is usually against the people by themselves. Once this is actualized, the next step is to clone the mentality of the people to think in the box and halt all-around societal development. The most complex and almost impossible war to fight and win is to conquer your mind from mental cloning about an age-long widespread belief system. As hard as to come out of age-long personal philosophy, it is harder to influence others out of it.
Although we popularly proclaim that as a nation, we were not mature enough to gain independence, no one is asking the question ‘why’ we were not mature enough to gain independence. Remember that before the end of colonial rule in Nigeria, Nigeria as a nation was the initiator and arrowhead in the mobilization of the struggle of many African nations for independence. Hence, for anyone to believe that Nigeria as a nation was not mature enough for independence, as researchers, we believe that such a mentality is unrealistic. Such a mind lacks the ability to analyze this context correctly. If we can sincerely digest the implication of the just concluded paragraph, we would understand the degree of damage Nigeria’s post-independent politicians brought upon the nation to bear. If we understand the degree of damage they inflicted on our nation, we cannot celebrate them as fallen heroes. How can you imagine that we are not mature for independence while African nations we led into the struggle gained their independence before us. The fact of the matter is their individual selfish and greedy ambitions against national interest, while others fought with single-mindedness.
